A tire factory with a production capacity of tens of millions of yuan has landed in Cambodia, and Guangzhou Industrial Control Group is accelerating its integration into the global industrial division of labor
On January 12, 2024, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Wanli Tire Cambodia production base under Guangzhou Industrial Control Group was held in the New Bavet Special Zone in Svay Rieng Province, Cambodia. After the completion of the entire base, it will be able to produce 10 million semi-steel radial tires and 1.2 million full-steel radial tires annually. It is not only the first overseas project of Wanli Tire, but also a key step for Guangzhou Industrial Control Group to accelerate the globalization strategy and actively participate in the high-quality construction of the "Belt and Road".

The production base laid this time was built by Wanli Tire Construction and is divided into two phases. The investment in the first phase is about US$239 million, with a total area of about 32 hectares. After it is put into production, it will form an annual production capacity of 6 million semi-steel radial tires.
According to the plan, the base will create an overseas benchmark for China's tire intelligent manufacturing, promote the realization of digital management, automated production, and intelligent operation of the factory, and focus on energy saving and consumption reduction in response to local market demand, and achieve personalized customization of products and other special needs. At the same time, relying on the implementation and construction of this project, Wanli Tire will promote further cooperation with the local government and enterprises in Cambodia, enhance the international brand image and reputation of Guangzhou Industrial Control Group, and further enhance the competitiveness and influence of Chinese tire brands in Southeast Asia and even the world.
Sun Zhantuo congratulated Wanli Tire on the successful establishment of its first overseas factory in Cambodia. He pointed out that under the "Belt and Road" initiative, the relations between Cambodia and China are close and friendly, and various large-scale investment projects are emerging and advancing in an orderly manner. The local functional departments will uphold a positive and professional attitude and fully support the construction of Wanli Tire's production base in Cambodia. In his speech, Wang Wenbin said that the Wanli Tire production base, which was laid today, will write a strong and colorful stroke for the picture of China-Cambodia cooperation. Cambodia has a unique advantage in rubber resources. The close connection between Chinese tire companies and the local rubber industry can not only help transform tire resources into high-value-added tire products, but also open up the upstream and downstream industrial chains with tire manufacturing as the hub. The Chinese Embassy in Cambodia will create a good environment and favorable conditions for Chinese companies to steadily promote the construction of the "Industrial Development Corridor".
Accelerate the overseas layout of the industrial chain to enhance international competitive advantages
As a core enterprise of the automotive parts sector of Guangzhou Industrial Control Group and one of the largest radial tire manufacturers in South China, Wanli Tire has insisted on using technological innovation as an engine to drive the company to the fast lane of high-quality development in recent years.

At the end of 2024, the third phase of Wanli Tire's Guangzhou Conghua project will be officially put into production, and the project's production capacity will reach 30 million tires per year, making it one of the largest single tire factories in China.

In November 2024, Wanli Tire will present its full product matrix at the Las Vegas Modified Car Parts Exhibition in the United States, and will sign a total of US$20 million in new orders and sign cooperation intention agreements with 5 leading American dealers, with an intended annual demand of 4 million tires.

He pointed out that the official foundation laying of Wanli Tire's first overseas factory in Cambodia is not only a milestone in Wanli Tire's overseas development, but also an important step for Guangzhou Industrial Control Group to deepen international cooperation and promote high-quality development.
In recent years, Guangzhou Industrial Control Group has taken international layout as one of its important strategic directions to accelerate the cultivation and development of new quality productivity.
